I know many women are lucky, and they get pregnant rather easy, but there are others that put more effort into getting pregnant. If you’re currently trying to conceive knowing these few things may help you conceive.
Five Tips To Help You Conceive
Are you recording your menstrual cycle?
First things first, we might not all have to record our menstrual cycle but tracking your menstrual cycle can help you to predict better when you may be ovulating. Start recording your menstrual cycles.
Ovulation
Women often ovulate about two weeks before their period occur. There are home ovulation kits you can purchase to help you know when you are ovulating. Of course, you can also try and figure out if you are ovulating by knowing your body and clues to look for to find out whether you are ovulating or not. I prefer the ovulation tests.
Eat healthy
There might not be a particular diet that promotes fertility but eating healthy can help prepare your body for the journey it’s about to take.
Weight
Get healthy, and if you are overweight, you may consider losing a little weight because being overweight can make getting pregnant more difficult. Plus, when you do get pregnant it is healthier for the baby.
Be sure to practice at least every other day prior to ovulation. When my husband and I were trying to get pregnant with my daughter Mattie I read somewhere that women were more likely to get pregnant when they had intercourse two days before ovulation. Between you and I my husband and I got pregnant fairly easy once we decided that we would practice more, which was at least every other day after I finished my period. So start practicing!
Since you’ll likely be spending more quality time “practicing” with your partner, you might want to consider trying a TTC™ to relieve temporarily vaginal dryness during sexual activity. It’s specially formulated for couples who are attempting to conceive. See when you are trying to conceive it’s important to provide the sperm with an environment where it has a chance for survival. These conditions are affected by osmolality, pH levels, and the consistency of the egg white cervical mucus. Since most traditional lubricants can affect the conditions, you may want to avoid them and try Astroglide TTC™ because studies have shown it is compatible with sperm, embryos, and oocytes.
