I love family movie night!  We’ve been doing it every single week for a long time, and I look forward to our movie nights together, even if the movie isn’t something I’m too excited about.  However that was not the case for this weeks family movie night, everyone was SUPER excited because as you may already know may already know The Secret Life of Pets is now available on DVD & Blu-ray.
I don’t know about you, but I’m totally pumped!  My kids have been waiting for The Secret Life of Pets to come out on Blu-ray since they watched it in the theaters.
Family Movie Night Snack Ideas!
Here are a few great family movie night snacks:
Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls with Chia Seed–These are by far one of my favorite recipes for family movie night!  No baking, quick and they taste great!  Plus, I know we don’t want to make family movie night about the snacks, right?  Sure a sweet treat now and again is great but getting together as a family is about memories, bonding, and time together.  The photo of the Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls with Chia Seeds says breakfast, but they are seriously great any time of the day.
Mini Cinnamon Crescent Rolls – Another quick and easy recipe and you can change this one up, however, you like it.
Chocolate Dipped Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bites–These are easy, and no baking is required.  The cookie dough balls will be perfect for a family movie night you decide to do something extra sweet for.
Tie Dye Vanilla Muddy Buddies–These are just so much fun!  I made them not too long ago and the kids have been asking me to make more.  Maybe I will on family movie night!
Strawberry Jalapeno Cream Cheese Wontons–OMG, these are just amazing! I could go on forever about these yummy little Wontons, but I’ll save you the extra reading and just let you know that they are amazing and totally worth trying!

CandyCane Hot Cocoa–It’s that time of year, why not be a little festive!
Peppermint Bark–Again, it’s that time of year, and this stuff is super yummy!
Sunrise Smoothie–I love having a smoothie on family movie night, and I know my kids get excited when they hear me pull out the blender and make them.

Chocolate Bowls & Ice Cream – OMG, these are fun to make be sure to give it a try. To make the bowls, you’ll use balloons, and the kids love to help – chocolate and balloons! It‘s something everyone at my house always enjoys doing. And an excellent way to pump things up for a special movies nights, like our family movie night we recently had for pets! We didn’t make chocolate bowls, but we still had a whole lot of fun!

Candy Cane Spoon– If you want to spice up your ice cream bowl you could add one of these candy cane spoons!  They are so easy to make and man they would be good with vanilla ice cream in a chocolate bowl, or you could make everyone a glass of hot cocoa to enjoy with the candy cane spoon.  Either way, you do it I’m sure it will taste amazing!  I know my kids would love to sit down and watch The Secret Life of Pets with hot cocoa and a candy cane spoon.

Popcorn – Don’t forget the popcorn, it’s a family movie night must in our house!
If you have a little extra time, you can make some Grinch Popcorn for the kidos!  It’s fun, festive and will add to the excitement of sitting down together as a family and sharing a few laughs while you watch Pets.
The Secret Life Of Pets on Blue-ray and DVD which is available in stores now in DVD and Blu-ray! Talk about making family movie night super fun! Everyone had a good time and laughed the whole time. I don’t remember the last time we all laughed like that over a movie!
Whether you‘re looking for a great gift the whole family will enjoy or just a reason for an extra movie night, The Secret Life of Pets is worth the watch!  I don’t remember the last time the whole family laughed so much during a family movie night.
Haven’t you ever wondered what your pets do when you’re not home?  I know I sure have and the thought of it scares me, lol.
Mattie started gearing up for our family movie night with her The Secret Life of Pets Santa hat! Â Okay, so that and bugging me over and over and over again to please hurry so we could start the movie. Â Which I get it she was excited, but this started at 3 pm the second I picked her up from school lol.
The Secret Life of Pets is a comedy about the lives our pets lead after we leave for work or school each day.  It’s a great movie for kids of all ages, I honestly don’t know a child or adult alive that loves animals that will not fall head over tails for this movie!  We have had family movie night twice this week, both times we have watched
this new DVD.
Skittles on the other hand went and laid down in his bed and pouted until the movie started but once he heard there would be snacks he quickly changed his attitude lol.
Then he joined the kids on the floor and stole their pillows and blankets. Â The kids ended up sitting on the couch with their popcorn.
From the humans behind Despicable Me. Â The new release features nearly an hour of bonus content, including three hilarious mini-movies: the all-new Norman Television and Weenie PLUS Mower Minions which debuted in theaters and is now available to own. Â The all-star voice cast includes Louis C.K., Eric Stonestreet, Kevin Hart, Jenny Slate, Ellie Kemper, Lake Bell, Dana Carvey, Hannibal Buress, Bobby Moynihan, Steve Coogan and Albert Brooks.
