I grew up with animals and honestly don’t remember a time when we did not have a cat, and they all had their unique personalities, quirks, and attitude problems lol. I mean really, regardless of how much you pamper your cat they are still going to be extremely independent but still want a lot of love, but only when they want it, lol. That’s what I love about cats; they’re unique and independent. However, that does not mean you can’t spoil them a bit; they deserve it and even if they don’t’ act like it, chances are they love it.
A Few Ways You Can Pamper Your Cat
Here are a few ways you can pamper your cat and let them know they’re extra special
Give them something to scratch on
Cat’s enjoy scratching their claws on things they’ll appreciate you providing them with a scratch post or someplace where they are allowed to scratch without getting into trouble. Plus, if you don’t give them a place they are likely to start using your furniture.
Let them rest!
I don’t know about your kids, but my kids love to pester our animals lol.
Cat’s like to play, when they get older they’ll play less, but they still enjoy it. Be sure to have a few fun toys that your cat likes. Cat’s don’t need huge expensive toys; mine is happy with a string on a stick and someone to drag it around for her, lol. Oh, that and she steals my hair ties and flings them all over the house. When I spring clean, I find all sorts of them under the fridge.
Love, lots and lots of love if when they’ll let you.
Cats need love too! Be sure and love them, pet them, and just spend time with them. FYI, they are great secret keepers too. My animals know more about me than most people because I can trust them to keep their lips sealed lol. I don’t know they might tell the other cats, but that’s cool with me. Plus, they are great listeners, and they love to cuddle up with the kids for a nap. Okay, so Twix isn’t fond of cutting, but Toothless loves it.
Help them catch the morning sun.
What do cats love to do? They spend most of their time sleeping why not get them a nice place to relax. A comfy place to lay and catch the morning sun would be ideal. I know they would love it, most animals love to nap in the morning sun while napping. Can you blame them?
Their water dish, with FREASH water.
My cats have always had to have their fresh water. Every cat I’ve ever owned wanted their little bowl of fresh water. Of course, all my animals get fresh water daily, but the cats don’t want anything to do with anyone else’s water. Well, that or they would try and drink out of my glass for whatever reason they won’t share water with my dog. I seriously think Twix would die of thirst rather than share anything with the dogs lol. She loves it when we fill up her water bowl with nice fresh water.
Feed me the good stuff.
Cat’s love to eat, but most of the ones I have known are rather picky. They want the good stuff and will not hesitate to turn their nose and tail up to anything else. I guess you really can’t blame them; I’d was something made from real chicken or salmon that’s Bristo prepared too.
