Meatballs in Savory Portobello Sauce Recipe

Instructions

Chop your onion

• In a large bowl mix thoroughly beef, onion, bread crumbs, and egg.

• Add about two tablespoons of Campbell’s® Savory Portobello Mushroom Soup and set aside for a few minutes.

• Season as desired and shape the beef mixture into about 16 meatballs (about 1 ½ inch).  We didn’t do it this time, but generally  we’ll add a little oatmeal to the meat because it helps the meat stick together better.

• Heat a 12-inch nonstick oiled skillet over medium-high heat, add meatballs, and allow to cook for about 10 minutes or until browned.

• Pour any leftover fat out.

• Add the rest of Campbell’s® Savory Portobello Mushroom Soup and heat to a boil.  Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and allow to cook for about 5 minutes or until meatballs are thoroughly cooked.  Be sure to stir occasionally and season to taste.
• Serve warm and enjoy!
