  • Drink Water

Cramps are a partly a result of dehydration and can occur during a workout or even any light activity that we do. It’s very important to stay hydrated throughout the day and even the night.  It helps the flow of blood and oxygen, lubricates muscles, and also reduces swelling which combined, helps to reduce risk of cramping or injury.

  • Cold Shower or Bath

Overworked muscles can be easily remedied with a cold bath or shower. The coldness reduces swelling and eases the inflamed muscles. Even applying a cool, damp towel to the affected muscles can quickly lessen the pain and discomfort also.

  • Rosemary

I didn’t know the advantages of using rosemary for achy muscles, but I did some research and found that it really does ease the pain. It reduces swelling in strained muscles. It contains four different anti-inflammatory properties that help to promote healing and reduces the swelling also. Just rub some rosemary infused oil or water directly to sore muscles to help ease your aches and pains.

  • Stretch

Stretching is a preventative and post workout solution to achy joints and muslces. It increases flexibility and improves oxygen flow through muscles which improves muscles function. It also reduces soreness after a workout and helps to reduce chances of injury. And, I know for me it just feels amazing to get a good stretch in the morning and right before bed too.

  • Epsom Salt

I’ve always used Epsom salt in my baths and soaks when I played sports and ran track, but I never really knew the reason. Well, after reading up on it I learned that Epsom salt contains large amounts of magnesium which, when absorbed through the skin, helps to promote healing of any damage done to muscles and joints and reduces soreness. Since I already used it before and now I know the reason, it is still a top option to ease my pain.  You can also take magnesium for nerve pain, as it’s beneficial for the whole body
