My husband and I were talking about how awesome it would be to win a trip to Orlando Florida this summer, lol. Florida is one of our favorite family vacation spot because there is so much to do and see. Every time we visit I we learn something we didn’t know about the Orlando Florida are and there is always plenty of new things to try.
If my oldest daughter wasn’t already a teen my husband and I would have moved there several years ago. We were so close to moving, had jobs lined out and everything, but we just couldn’t pull her away from everything just when it was important to her. I remember being in high school, and I would have been so upset at my parents. So here we are until she is finished with school.
10 Reasons To Go On An Orlando Florida Vacation.
Here are a few of the many reasons to go on an Orlando Florida vacation. Shhh don’t tell anyone, but you’ll have a chance to enter to win a trip to Orlando Florida too!
1) Is Disney World in Orlando Florida?
Did you know that Disney World is not in Orlando Florida? If you’ve been planning a vacation to Orlando Florida so you could visit Disney World, calm down. You’ll find Disney World in Kissimmee, which isn’t far from Orlando Florida so your totally headed in the right direction.
2) Don’t plan on purchasing gum anywhere at Disney World.
I have honestly never tried to buy gum at Disney World, but we have been told on numerous occasions that we would not be able to purchase gum at Walt Disney World. Now that I think about it, I don’t even remember seeing gum on the ground. If you bring your gum, be kind and respect their efforts to keep the park clean and toss yours gum in the trash.You’ll need sunscreen
3) You don’t have to purchase Disney items from Disney World
You’ll notice Disney everything as soon as your get to the airport. There is Disney items at all of the stores, which makes it nice because you can still get souvenirs and save a little money.
4) If you’re going to Florida just for Disney World, consider where you’re staying.
Places like the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin resorts are located right by Disney World. You might luck out and get a few extra magic hours for staying, and you can count on their awesome transportation to get you to and from the parks. There are other hotels that offer transportation to and from the parks. It’s worth asking about, so you don’t have to stress traffic or pay for parking. Oh, if you’re like me than you’ll probably lose your car, lol.
Before jumping in your car and driving to the parks be sure and ask the hotel you’re staying with if there is some transportation. One thing I like about staying close to Disney World is the buses that run every few minutes to take people to and from Disney World. Saves on the stress of driving and paying for parking.
5) Clean up your bucket list
You can do everything from meet Cinderella to screaming down Space Mountain all in one day, and still have time to wrestle an alligator. Oh, come on you know it’s on your bucket list, lol. Even if you don’t want to wrestle an alligator, I do suggest stopping at Gatorland to watch. It’s an awesome place and a beautiful break from the craziness at Disney World.
6) Winter in Florida is, well….
If you want to vacation in the winter, Orlando Florida is an excellent choice because it’s still nice, cools down a bit, but nothing like so many of us are used to. Think of it like this, while we are piling on jackets and boots people in Florida are working on their tan.
7) Go around the world in record timing
When you visit Epcot, you can walk around the world in a few hours, depending upon how fast you walk and how many places you stop to look around. Epcot is one of my favorite parks because you can go around the world.
8) I doubt you’ll get bored if you decide on an Orlando Florida vacation
Whether you’re taking the family, the wife or going with friends, there are so many different things to do in Orlando everyone is sure to find something to do. There is so much more to do in and around Florida than visiting Disney World, like – Discovery Cove, Kennedy Space Center, Disney Hollywood Studios, SeaWorld, Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, Universal Studios, Gator Land, Kayaking, Science Center, Great Go Carts, great places to eat, plenty of water sports, places to shop, great nightlife and more. We want to move close to Orlando Florida because there is so much to do for people of all backgrounds.
9) The best way to cool off while you’re in Orlando Florida? HUMM…
Oh, I know! I don’t know that’s it’s cold inside the Orlando’s skating rink but it’s a great way to get out of the heat and do something different.
