Foodie Apps For Windows Tablets Like Our
Anywhere here are a few of what we think are the best foodie apps your Windows tablets.
Yelp
Of course, we’re all familiar with Yelp. It’s because they offer reviews on businesses worldwide and it’s all in the palm of your hand. Whether you’re looking for somewhere to eat with the family or somewhere to have a business meeting you might want to check out the reviews on Yelp before you drink, eat, shop or play.
Food Tracker
Another great food tracking and restaurant review app for your Windows tablet. It is a great way to find new places to eat, allows you to share pictures and reviews of your own
Allrecipes
This is one of my favorite apps! They have an awesome database of recipes, it’s easy to find what you need, and I’m always finding something new.
MSN Food & Drink
Another one of my favorite foodie apps for your Windows tablet. It’s published by Microsoft if that doesn’t say it all. You can add a recipe, make a shopping list, view tons of great recipes, and even make a meal plan. GREAT app for anyone, we all have to eat right!
Cake Design
I love to bake and Cake Design is a great app for anyone who enjoys baking cakes and is looking for inspiration.
Delicious Sandwich Recipes
Nothing screams summer for me like sandwiches. We stop eating sandwiches once summer is over so I’m excited to find new sandwich recipes. So far, this app has several I’m excited about trying and I still have plenty more looking to do.
Ice Cream Recipes
If you want some yummy ice cream recipes for the summer, then you’ll love this app for your Windows tablet.
DIY Mixed Drinks
This is a great way to learn how to make favorite mixed drinks, especially with all the summer BBQ’s coming up.
Recipe, Menu, and Cooking Planner
Grab your Windows tablet and head to the kitchen you’ll love this app. You can create recipes, views methods, create menus, shopping lists, use timers, and more. This is a great app I wish I would have known about it sooner.
A great app to hold on your personal recipes in one place. Plus, if you own the Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 you probably enjoy taking your tablet into the kitchen as much as I do.
Kitchen Tools
You’re all in one recipe book, weekly menu planner, shopping list and converter app for your Windows tablet.
Open Table
If you love to travel then you’ll love this app. Find information on places to eat, locate nearby restaurants, and even make reservations.
Kitchen Swaps
It’s happened to us all, we run out of an ingredient while we’re cooking or baking something. This is a great app that can save the day by sharing substitutions and equivalencies for your cooking and baking needs.
Cooking Companion
Ever wanted an assistant in the kitchen? One that doesn’t get in the way? This is a great app with several great features like timers, common conversions. Comes in handy when you don’t think you’ll need it, well it does for me anyway.
MyFridge
I just stumbled across this app and thought it was pretty neat. You can use it to keep your fridge nice and clean from expired food. Add and remove food with an expiration date and the app will alert you when items expire. You’ll have to do an inventory unless you just have a few things you want to keep track on. It’s not an app everyone will use but my sister is excited to do an inventory on our fridge.
We love using our Yoga Tablet 2 for more than just blogging, we take it with us in the kitchen too. If you’re wondering what makes the Lenovo Yoga 2 so special, there is a lot of features that make this our favorite Windows tablet.
Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 Tablets
First the design is perfect! You can hold, tilt, stand, a nd even HANG this Windows tablet! It has a battery cylinder that makes it easy to hold on to if you decide to set the keyboard down for a minute. The Yoga 2 has a kickstand that works with the battery cylinder to balance the weight at the base of the tablet so it stands perfectly. If you don’t want to use the tablet in stand mode, try tilt. Pull out the kickstand and stay the tablet down for a different angle, which is perfect for using the touchscreen in the kitchen.
My personal favorite is hanging mode, especially when I’m in the kitchen or letting my husband use the tablet while he is working on his racecar. Hang your tablet in the kitchen, office, garage, or anywhere else you need it.
The battery is AWESOME! It’s rare I find a device that can keep up with me all day, and the Lenovo Yoga 2 is one of the few that can stay powered as long as I can. I set it to charge at night before I go to sleep, I’m yet to run out of battery life.
We’re also loving the AnyPen technology! This allows users to grab a ballpoint pen or graphite pencil to use as a writing device on your tablet. Yes, my daughter uses it to draw and I love it for taking notes in the kitchen. My husband, on the other hand, uses it for whatever it is that he does outside while working on the racecar.
My Lenovo Yoga 2 came with an awesome keyboard, which is easy to use, super thin, and lightweight. It’s a must-have accessory for the tablet. Since receiving my new Windows tablet, I have not used my laptop at all. As a matter of fact, my mom is going to be using my laptop for a while because it just sits in the corner anymore.
