I used to eat Alpha-Bits when I was younger. Back then, times were simpler. I got a bowl, a spoon, cereal and milk, and we had to make do. But these days you have to come up with all kinds of new twists on everything so today our task was to come up with a new use for Alpha-Bits. So here is my innovative, brilliant new recipe. I hope you like it.

1 cup Alpha-Bits cereal

1 cup milk

1/2 banana, sliced

4 strawberries, sliced

Pour the Alpha-Bits cereal in a bowl and pour in the milk. Top with bananas and strawberries.

So easy and quick a 4 year old could do it. I know, brilliant! Right?

Just kidding. I’m not about to pawn off something so easy.

Here is my real recipe. I made it last night for my whole family (including mom and my sister and her hubby). Now I will admit, we were a little nervous, but it worked. We came up with this after the hubby remarked that he thought broken up Alpha-Bits would look a lot like Panko Bread Crumbs. So read on brave adventurer for our Alpha-Bits Encrusted Fried/Baked Chicken.

Voila. Super tender and moist Fried/Baked Alpha-Bits Chicken!

It may sound crazy strange but it is absolutely delicious and I urge you to give it a try. Cook/Bake it up for the family but don’t tell them what the secret ingredients make up the crust, and wait for the oohs and aahs to roll in.

Enjoy!
