Can you believe it? We are already talking about spring! I don’t know about you but I am super excited, I love this time of year. It’s warming up outside, which means the kids can go play all day outside and I don’t have to feel bad lol. My kids love the spring because the weather is perfect for outdoor play, not too cold and not too hot!

It’s been in the 70s and 80s this past week so the kids have been loving that they get to play outside. Well, that is until the rain started to roll in, lol. It never fails, but it’s one of my favorite part of spring. I love the warmer temperatures and the light rain showers that we get in the spring. However, it does put a damper on the kids outside play, but they seem to manage just fine.

It’s not like they don’t have anything to do. Today they were playing dressed up! Vayda was the designer and Mattie was the model and these are the outfits they came up with. I mean who gets to bring a baby duck inside to play, lol. Yes, I do let them but only for a little bit. They are not allowed to play with the ducks in the house for long. Plus, Vayda was also playing photographer and making Mattie take some Easter pictures.

This one of my favorite! Mattie sporting her new Carters Floral Skinny Stretch Twill Pants  and Carter’s Embroidered Smocked Gauze Tank Top, looking surprised with her cute little ducky on her lap. I’m not sure what her duck’s name is today, it seems to change every other day. I just call him Quakers, which was his name about 5 names ago, lol.

Impressed with Vayda’s photography skills and her choice of clothing.  Here she has Mattie sporting her Carter’s Skinny Stretch Denim Twill Pants and Carter’s Floral 3D Embellishment Hi-low Hem Tee

With Spring Break right around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about getting the kids some excellent summer clothing! My kids wear uniforms to school, so they always love the change in seasons because we must buy new fresh clothes and my kids all have their own unique styles – denim, colors, bright colors, graphic tees, and of course skirts, and shorts. My youngest is all about being comfortable, she isn’t into the layers or anything yet, but I think that will come with age.

This is Mattie’s favorite outfit, she wouldn’t put these super cute shorts because she is ONLY wearing it for her birthday lol. Smart girl right, she knows she would forget about it if she started wearing it now.

The shorts actually came with a cute butterfly tee but that’s one of my favorite things about Carter’s, you can mix and match just about everything.  I personally love that we can mix and match everything.

I try to do buy clothing that can be easily mixed and matched because well, my kids are VERY independent and do not think mom knows much of anything about anything as far as style goes. So, to give them the independence they need I buy clothing that can easily be mixed and matched. Carter’s has been one of my favorite brands since my first was little and continues to be my favorite and I’m loving that I can pick up Carter’s clothing at Kohl’s or by visiting Kohls.com.

Little Mattie, she is telling Vayda NO MORE DRESS UP! She loves the pink tee I guess, lol.

The girls did a great job, so proud of them both. Not only did they do great, but they also didn’t even fight. I know right, I’m waiting for the March snow storm that is going to hit southern New Mexico lol.

The above image is Mattie wearing the butterfly tee that came with the shorts with her Carter’s Pink Skinny Stretch Twill Pants in pink.  I also grabbed Mattie a pair of Carter’s Distressed Lose-Fit Jeans, Carters Printed Leggings and a Carter’s Print Skirt.
