I was compensated for, all opinion are 100% honest based on my own experiances.
Teachers are an important part of our children’s lives. They help pass one knowledge, valued, and education to our children. I have never thought teachers get the recognition they deserve. Really think about it, they’re in a room with at least 20 kids, and they stay sane, lol. As parents we are blessed to have good teachers in our children’s lives.
Can you imagine being in a room with 25 five year olds, all day, for an entire school year lol. Its amazing teachers have their hair at the end of the day, and what’s even more amazing is the impact teachers have on our children. There’s nothing better than a good teacher standing in front of that chalk board, teaching our children. You know those teachers that truly care, the ones that take the time to get to know our children, get to know parents, and communicate with parents to help the kids. I don’t know how they do what they do every single day, but hats off to the teachers in the world.
I remember growing up I had a teacher in my life named Coach Davis. Gosh he was awesome, he was my social studies teacher, PE Coach, and he coached all the boys’ sports. He cared about his students, he wasn’t there for the paycheck. He was there for the students. Looking back now, I wish there were more teachers like him. Now don’t get me wrong, there is tons of great teachers out there, but there needs to be more.
I remember Coach Davis was one of those teachers that would stay after school or skip lunch if you needed help with your math. He didn’t even teach it, he just wanted to see us do well. He always knew about our grades, asked how we were doing, and noticed when something was wrong. All the students knew he was the one teacher we could go to for just about anything. He was an important part of my high school years, helped me with a lot of things, and I know he did the same for other students as well.
I thought about him when I heard about the Hilton HHonors Teacher Treks Travel Grant Competition. I was really excited to find out that one of the finalist(s) is from my state.
