    The most creative idea I ever did for valentines day was fill a jar with candy hearts but i would drop little notes in it also in different spots and then fill it a lil more with the candy so as he ate them, there were little notes of I promise to massage your back, or i promise to always kiss your goodnight… Just something cute and inexpensive to do.

    We usually do a nice family night on valentine’s day with a movie and candy, and then the hubby will take a day off and he and I have a nice lazy day with a lunch out at a nice restaurant. That way we avoid the crowds on the actual day.

    The most creative valentine’s date I have ever been on was a scavenger hunt that ended up at a restaurant and it was a romantic dinner for two. Now my husband and I have 2 kids so we try to sneak in something romantic but not something that elaborate!

    My idea for this year is to go to B&N and each pick out: a poem, a dessert in a cookbook, a romantic quiz in a magazine, and a place we’d like to take the other in a travel book. Then we”ll share our finds with each other over coffee and a giant cookie! :)

    I am not very creative with things like this but I usually make the kids and grandkids cut out cookies are pretty and pink.

    I wrote a few paper notes to my hubby, allowing him certain “shall we say Valentine type activities” to share with me. He loved them. Maybe I’ll do it again this year.

  35. we can’t afford a get away this year (hubby doesn’t get paid time off) so we are bringing the get away to our house. I’m going to redo our bedroom with new bedding and accessories :D

    A whole group of family and friends are going to a movie (I get to snuggle up with my valentine). Afterwards we are going out for a romantic candle lit dinner. Then a bubble bath with my valentine.
