There’s nothing I like more than jumping in/on a plane, train, or automobile. This mommy blogger has a bad case of the traveling bug. My husband and I are known for jumping in the car and heading out-of-town, even if it’s just for the night. We also travel via plane several times a year. Of course, we have to make sure the kids are spending the night with someone.
Many of you know that because of you Jenn’s Blah Blah Blog will be heading to sunny LA California in January, to meet Flo the Progressive Girl. Yes, my hubby (Shawn) and I cannot wait to jump on that plane. It’s going to be so much fun, and a much-needed vacation, and our first trip in 2013. I’m super excited that I’ll be able to pack everything we need into my new Travelpro New Maxlite 2 suitcase!
Let me share a little about Travelpro with you. Travelpro has been around for more than two decades crafting high quality luggage for travelers around the globe. Travelpro is the inventor of Rollaboard luggage and the top dog in high quality luggage. The Maxlite 2 Collection is the NEWEST and LIGHTEST of Rolla boards and Spinners. It’s lightweight, durable, roomy, and affordable. It’s truly amazing, and going to be perfect for our upcoming trip to LA, California.
The Maxlite 2 offers plenty of room, its made of quality rugged polyester fabric, which is stain and abrasion resistant. The 4-wheel Spinner system, and the 360 degree maneuverability makes it easy to pull and maneuver through check-in lines at the airport. The telescoping handle extends to two different settings, and we cannot forget to mention that the Maxlite 2 collection comes in both Ocean Blue and Black.
I received the Travelpro Maxlite 2 20″ Carry-on Spinner in Ocean Blue for this review. It’s an awesome carry-on . I can honestly tell you this is a great bag, it maneuvers around behind you nicely, the double setting on the handle makes it easy for both Shawn and I to use, there’s tons of room, SO MANY POCKETS FOR MOM! Okay, I couldn’t leave this one out, I’m so bad about forgetting something. Okay, a few somethings! It’s nice to have all the extra pocket for moms last-minute packing.
Shawn and I took a short trip out-of-town this weekend, and we were able to fit both of our belongings into our new Travelpro Maxlite 2 20″ suitcase, and still have room. I’m not a crazy packer, but I like to be prepared and often take more than I need. Maybe it’s a mom things, it’s better to be overly prepared than under prepared. We have been talking about getting new luggage before our first 2013 travels in January. It’s much lighter, so many more pockets, and the overall quality is much better.
The Travelpro Maxilite 2 suitcase is the best lightweight suitcase I’ve ever owned. I love the fact that this suitcase weighs so much less than my old one, and I’m still able to fit everything I need in it. This is the first Travelpro suitcase I’ve personally owned, and it’s my favorite for sure. It’s less bulky than my old suitcases, and the design is practical inside and out. I received my luggage in no time, super fast shipping. My entire experience from start to finish is a HUGE TWO THUMBS UP!
I can only think of one things Travelpro could do differently with this sleek, lightweight suitcase. Offer it in pink, lol. I know it’s minor, and I probably wouldn’t even get one in pink because my husband wouldn’t be seen toting around a pink suitcase, but I sure would love this suitcase in pink!
Check out some of the awesome features and benefits of owning a Travelpro Maxlite 2:
- Rugged polyester fabric that is water-repellent for greater stain and abrasion resistant.
- Protective skid guards, corner guards, and crash-gaurde wheel housings to protect from damage during traveling.
- Inline skate wheels that use high quality materials for long-lasting durability.
- 4-wheel Spinner system provides a smooth glide with 360 degree maneuverability.
- Telescoping handle with two different stopping points.
Grooves handle tubes provide extra strength and handle stability when supporting totes.- Low-profile neoprene carry handles are very comfortable.
- Lots of space and packing flexibility.
- Adjustable hold down straps to help keep your belongs snug.
- Plenty of pockets, and storage areas. Makes organizing your belongings a breeze.
- Dimensions are L20″ x W14″ x 4H.
- Weight is only 8.9lbs.
- It’s durable, and big zipper pulls are convenient as well
My husband and I are also enjoying the new Countour Handle Grip, especially compared to our last suitcase. The fact that the handle adjusts from 38″ to 41″ makes it easy for both my husband and I to pull the suitcase behind us.
Before we put anything into our new Travelpro Maxlite 2 it only weighted in at 6.3 pounds, pretty darn light isn’t it. Between my husband and I we fly about 10 times a year, and travel by car at least twice a month. We’re always on the go, having quality, yet practical luggage is important. Which is why we’re thrilled to own the new Travelpro Maxlite 2. We actually both liked it so much I bought Shawn one for Christmas, yea I know I hope he doesn’t read this, lol. Not really he knows I bought it for him. Busted me ordering it, lol. Oh well at least I know he’s going to like it.
I am looking forward to taking our new Maxlite 2 all the way to sunny LA, California to meet Flo from Progressive! Thanks Travelpro for helping us show up with some fabulous luggage.
If you’re looking for affordable, quality luggage to start your 2013 travels out right I cannot recommend Travelpro Maxlite 2 Collection ENOUGH! Check out the entire Travelpro Collection Online. You can also find Travelpro on Facebook and Twitter.

Thanks for the review of this product. When we travel is can be a headache not having enough pockets so this product sounds like it could definitely eliminate that issue.

I totally agree with being overprepaired! Especially once you have kids
I love pockets in my travel suitcases. It seems like they never have enough and I like to seperate and organize! Suitcases have evolved a lot!
