I am so excited!  I have been nominated for the Top 25 Product review Blogs of 2012 on Circle of Moms!  Wow, this is really a big deal for me, I am super-duper excited!  It’s made me really sit and think about where I was a year ago…  I wasn’t doing what I am now, thinking about it yes….

The last year has been crazy, trying to juggle four children, an amazing husband, a full-time job, and my blogs.  It’s been nuts, but totally worth it.  I look back at myself a year ago, and am totally amazing with how much I have learned.  This lovely blog has done a lot for me, it’s really opened doors to opportunities I didn’t know existed.  One year ago I had no idea what a blog was, much less SEO, social media, gaining followers, and readers.. WHAT people actually read my blog, that still amazes me to this day.  I’m just an average, crazy mom to four fabulously crazy children, with a husband who’s crazy for marring me.  Oh, and a partridge in a pear tree, or something like that..

One year ago, I started a blog SJblahBlahBlog, it was for Shawn & Jenn Blah Blah Blog…  I know right, what was I thinking, that’s one crazy long blog name.  I decided to shorten it a few months later, to Jenn’s Blah Blah Blog.  Poor blog, looked so bad with the theme I tried so hard to make look awesome.  Sad truth, I sucked it, but I tried.  I eventually gave in, and paid for this awesome theme.  I couldn’t have been happier, it was all over from that point.  I finally had an awesome look.

Now, let’s talk about affiliate links.  LOL, I had no idea what an affiliate was, or where to find deals to share….  I would actually search the web, find deals and post them on my blog.  Oh, how sad… I spend so much time looking for deals to share.  That’s what everyone did, shared great deals.  It was a great day on Jenn’s Blah Blah Blog when we found out what an affiliate program was.  The money, get paid to post them, that’s pretty cool.  Who would have thought they would be sent directly to your email, lol.

I have learned so much along the way.  There’s one thing that really sticks out, that I always remember.  Help your fellow bloggers, the blogophere is full of support.  There’s so many amazing people that will vote, like, comment, share, tweet, anything you need.  I have so many amazing friends out here, it’s great.  I remember when I was really new, Jade from Diva Fabulousa helped me so much.  I asked her so many question, pretty much harassed her.  She always had time to lend a hand, she’s fabulous to this day I will do just about anything to help her out.

I remember how awesome it was to finally have someone that would help me, I had so many questions.  I always promised myself that I would lend a hand to anyone that needed the help, there’s nothing worse than having questions and nobody to help you.  Sure there’s probably 1000 bloggers out there that would help, but I didn’t know that at the time.  I have learned that sometimes we have to step out and offer a helping hand, everyone needs someone, especially when you start out knowing nothing.

I have learned so much over the last year, there’s not a day that goes by that I don’t learn something.  Some of the awesome opportunities I have had along the way, wow I never would have thought I would be part of it.  It’s been an amazing journey and I am looking forward to so much more over the next year.

I’m excited to be part of the Top 25 Product Review Blogs.  It might not be much to some, but considering I didn’t even know about affiliate networks until a few months ago, it’s huge for me, lol.  Even if I don’t win it’s such a huge step from where I was this time last year.  I wanted to say thank you to all my fellow bloggers that have supported and helped me along the way, all my lovely readers that make blogging worth doing, even on those days when I don’t want to.  Thank you everyone for helping Jenn’s Blah Blah Blog with all her crazy campaigns  contest, and everything else I seem to get myself into..  Thanks for supporting me, you have made my last year a BLAST!  I cannot wait to see what 2013 holds for me and ol’ Blah Blah!
