I truly wish I could help everyone. There is nothing more satisfying than knowing you have helped someone overcome something, been there to lend an ear, or help with something life changing. It’s an amazing feeling, and I sometimes cannot believe how much we can do to help one another. The smallest thing can change someone’s life. You know that smile in the store that you just gave that girl? Maybe it sounds crazy, but I think being nice, and helping where I can is my calling in life. I have not always been this way, but as you live life and get older things happen, people come into your life, and if you pay attention things can change you.
Now I look for people to help, I will give someone my last dollar, the shirt of my back, and when I received an email asking me to sign a petition from Amy Auden and her amazing family I gladly signed it, and I hope you will too.
Let me tell you a little about this petition, and how your signature can be life changing for someone, the entire family for that matter.
About the Petition
It’s nothing that will affect you and your family, it’s something more personal to Amy and her family. They are asking Merck and BSM to help her husband, and father of three. They are asking that her husband, Nick get access to a PD1 drug on a compassionate basis, and they need a whole lot more signatures…… 72,662 more signatures…
This is nothing that will change your family, it’s not going to change your healthcare. It’s going to show a mom, dad, and three kids that people still do care, and hopefully give a loving father the chance to spend many more years with his family.
Amy’s husband, Nick was diagnosed with Stage 4 Melanoma, and he is determined to beat it so he can spend time with his three children. Nick is a dedicated father, husband, and just needs a shot. See there is this new ani-PD-1 wonder drug that is showing great results for patients in Nick’s situation, but the drug will not be released for another 12 to 18 months. Nick does not have that long, he needs help NOW. Nick and Lisa will not stop fighting they are determined to beat this.
All I am asking of anyone who reads this is to read the story, and if it something you support that please sign their petition asking Merck and Bristol-Myers Squibb to provide PD-1 to Nick so he can win against melanoma and continue to be the father and husband he is to this family.
