Hey Everyone, I hope your weekend is going well!  I am not sure if you know or not but Picket Fence Blogs recently reset all blogs votes..  I have been asked a lot lately what Picket Fence blogs is so I thought I would share with everyone what it’s all about.

So what is Picket Fence?

It a free blog directory, where our blogs are ranked by popularity.  Based off your votes.  Bloggers get votes from their visitors click on referral links or buttons on their blogs.  A Picket Fence vote is a wonderful way to show you appreciate a bloggers hard work.  Oh, you’re able to vote for you favorite blogs daily as well!  So if you have a blog that you love and you want to give something back to them, click on their button or link and leave a comment letting them know that you appreciate them..

Why would Picket Fence reset their system?

I know I was a little discouraged too, I had watched my blog climb up to number 18 and my votes grow to 20,000.  It’s somewhat of a personal goal of mine to be up there with some of the top dogs, even if it’s just for a little bit!  However, it does provide an opportunity to blogs that have not been participating as long as others to rank better!  It also cleans house if you will, gets rid of all the blogs that don’t use Picket Fence anymore.

Resetting votes helps them spring clean their website and ensure the most up to date and relevant blogs are listed and have a chance to be found among some blogs that are gone, not using Picket Fence, or out of date.

When a reset is about to occur, a notification will appear across the top of the site at least 1 week in advance.  So if you run into some blogs out there that you enjoy reading and want to tell them thanks for all their hard work, click on their Picket Fence votes!  I promise any blogger with a button on their blog will appreciate your support, I know I do….
