Being more “green” is something our family has been putting a lot of focus on. My kids are learning the importance of becoming more green not only at home, but at school as well. My 7-year-old daughter came home last week and asked me if I knew when Energy Awareness Month started. I guess they are going to be doing some big project for Energy Awareness Month in school that she is not allowed to tell me about. It’s either that, or she really is not sure what they are doing and doesn’t want to admit she isn’t sure what is going on yet, lol.
Did you know that October is Energy Awareness Month? It was news to me also, but in 1991 the federal government declared October as Energy Awareness Month. How would you celebrate Energy Awareness Month? The best answer I can come up with is to make your home more energy-efficient you, know more “Green”. I know it’s easier said than done right? I thought so, but Best Buy has great Energy solutions.
I have heard about ENERGY STAR® in almost every appliance advertisement I have seen for I don’t know how long now but never really paid attention to what it actually was, I mean there’s the obvious explanation, the one we all hear: ENERGY STAR means “Uses Less Energy” which is right but did you know that ENERGY STAR is an EPA voluntary program that helps businesses and individuals save money and protect the climate through superior energy efficiency. These certified energy-efficient products generally use 20-30% less energy than required by federal standards and some, not all, of these products can even get you a tax credit, but all of them will save you money on your energy bill.
The best place I know to find all the Energy Efficient appliances I will ever need has to be Best Buy. They have everything from cell phones to mini fridges, flat screens to washing machines. If there was a Best Buy here I would be there at least once a week, probably more knowing my wife. I still have bestbuy.com though where I can get the same great products, great prices and the same great customer service as I would at any one of their stores.
Since October is Energy Awareness Month we should all think about going green to help save our climate and conserve energy. Best Buy can help you get there with more than 2,300 unique certified energy-efficient products to choose from, that will cut your energy use effectively lowering your energy costs. Did you know that the average family spends $2,200 a year on energy? Wow that’s a lot. ENERGY STAR can save you money in more than one way. There’s the big one, energy costs, then there’s the tax credit on some, not all products and another good one local utility companies provide additional rebates that can save up to $300! So that means you can “Go Green” and put some green back into your pockets. I recommend going to Best Buy either online or one of their stores to get all the info you need on ENERGY STAR, and all of their energy-efficient products.
Did you know that local utility companies provide additional rebates that can save you up to $300? You are definitely going to want to check out ENERGY STAR Rebates, and learn more about the different ways Best Buy helps you save money on energy costs.
