I’m not a fashion freak, but I do like to know what is going on. The only way I ever know what’s going on in the fashion world is by the apps on my phone. I was a little worried when I made the switch from an Android device to my Windows HTC 8X Phone. I’ve heard that there isn’t enough Windows apps, so I’ve been spending a lot of time downloading and playing with the apps in the Windows Store and on my phone.
To be honest I have not been disappointed about the apps. I have found every app that’s important to me and then some. There’s only one that I wish I could find, and that’s Instagram, but there’s other apps that can help me. I’ve decided that I will share different apps that I have enjoyed. So be on the lookout for some awesome apps that you can find in the Windows store.
If you’re a fashion freak, and thinking of heading to the world of Windows here’s a few great apps you’ll find. There’s plenty more to available, these are a few that I enjoyed. Keep in mind I have not tried them all, there’s still tons more.
Cosmopolitan – Most of you are probably familiar with the magazine. If you’re looking for some great tips to spice up your winter fashion Cosmopolitan’s a nice place to start. Cosmopolitan’s also a great gossip resource. Keep up with the latest gossip from the fashion world, beauty industry, and celebrities. There’s also great tips on dating, sex and more. I prefer to view Cosmopolitan on my Windows HTC 8X Phone than to view it in magazine form. Cosmopolitan is a free app, and one of my favorite fashionable apps in the Windows Store.
Vogue – Another app available in the Windows Store that many of you fashion freaks are probably familiar with. Get up to date fashion news during the day, backstage access, insider interviews, and the bright colorful pictures on your Windows Device. If fashion is important to you head over to the Windows Store and download the Vogue app for free. The did a nice job making the app, its easy to maneuver around in, and has a classy look.
Men’s Style - Men like style too. An awesome choice for all you men out there who want to look fab this season. Download Men’s Style to check out the latest designs of the world’s top fashion designers.
Fashion Buddy - Have you ever needed some help organizing your closet or shopping for the perfect outfit? I’m sure most of have. All you diva’s out there need not to worry anymore. Fashion Buddy is the perfect Windows app to get the job done. Save details about your clothing, along with picture. Don’t forget to save the clothing in the stores if you like it.
Telegraph Fashion - Stay up to date on trends, and know all the hot topics in the fashion world. Telegraph Fashion is a one stop shop for information on all the best beauty products, accessories and fashion.
Zara – One of my favorite fashion apps for my Windows HTC 8X Phone is Zara. Download this fashionable app, kick off your shoes and enjoy the latest and greatest fashion for not only women, but men and children too. Zara has an awesome Bar Code Scanner feature, simply touch the button and scan a product. Don’t forget to check out their store.
HairStyle – Stay up to date on the latest Hairstyles with your Windows HTC 8X Phone, or Windows device. Enjoy fun features such as, selecting hairstyles based on the shape of your face. HairStyle is a great app for those of you looking to keep up with great hair or looking for a new hairstyle for yourself.
Tattoo Live Tile – Enjoy this ad free Windows app, and get new tattoo pictures on your home screen. If you’re like me and love looking at nice tattoo artwork, Tattoo Live Tiles is a fun app.
Magic Mirror – Get it for $1.99. Have you ever wanted to change your look? Maybe trade in your blonde hair for something pink? Change you look, experiment with colorful hairstyles. Magic Mirror is a paid app, but definitely fun and worth it.

I’d like the hairstyle app and my daughter would love Magic Mirror. I think that would be fun actually! The rest speak for themselves, Vogue, Men’s Style and Cosmo.
I even MIGHT be interested in the tatoo app. My 3 daughters have them and I fought them tooth and nail, but now I am ACTUALLY considering one. They would give me SOooo much grief and I’b e eating crow pie for a LOooong time! LOL!
I play on the hair app with my daughters, it’s loads of fun… I totally agree with you, pretty much about your entire comment, lol. You know, I never thought about a tattoo until recently… now I have a sleeve, and about 12 others lol… once you get one, you’ll want another lol… I love the tattoo app it’s one of my favs.. I enjoy looking at tattoos takes real talent to draw on someone like that with a loud needle lol…
I think the magic mirror app sounds pretty cool. I have a Droid and have never used Windows. Thank you for sharing some of the different apps.

Thanks for sharing Jenn, and as far as a tattoo , i have a small one on my lower back, kind of sexi but i don’t think i would go further with it,,loll i don’t have a decent phone to get those apps but they seem really cool.. again thanks for sharing and i will do the same

Boy did this review come at the right time. I am in the middle of looking for a new phone and was worried about switching from android to iphone or Windows(esp.). Not only was this a great review of the fashion appps it also helps me to realize any cell phone app version will have what ever i need. Thanks for all the great info…

I keep thinking that I want to swap over to an android or windows phone from my iphone. This review talking about the capacity for so many apps available that are such a wide range to be offered might just be the final deciding factor. My wife would like to have Casmo on her phone! I did not know you could have that on there wow what will they think of next, or better yet what else don’t I know about.

Second, thank you for listing the apps you’ve found useful on the HTC because I’ve always been a Windows-loving girl, but I too was skeptical about switching to a phone where I’d be left with less choice and variety! These apps are right up my avenue in terms of interest, I enjoy keeping up with fashion, and telegraph and zara look to be very interesting!

Magic Mirror seems like a good investment! I’ve been wanting to change up my hair style and color for a long time now.

The Daily Telegraph is a reputable publication so I’m happy that they made an app that is Windows HTC-compatible for those interested in fashion!

The Fashion Buddy seems cool so that you can access the contents of your closet at any time, so if you’re at a store and need a reminder on what you have so you can coordinate a potential purchase with actual visuals or descriptions instantly!
