Looking For Christmas Gift Ideas for Kids? Try The VTech Innotab3

by Jenn

I start looking for Christmas gift ideas for kids and everyone else in my family early!  I have four little ones, planning yet another little on, not to mention all our nieces, nephews, and cousins that need something for Christmas.   Rather than waiting until right before the holiday season, my husband and start looking ofr Christmas gift ideas early to save us financial stress.

I have to give my kids some kudos… They have been so good this year, and I am very proud of them.  Which means it’s a great excuse to spoil them for Christmas.  Dolls, and toy cars are great gift ideas for kids, but I also want to get them some type of educational gift that they will love.  Which is why I have been looking forward to trying the VTech InnoTab 3 Learning Tablet for kids.  Notice how I say for kids, lol.  My younger kids need a tablet to play with, that’s not mine.  I do allow them to use my tablets, but in a supervised environment only.  I don’t even want to think about what they might stumble across other wise.

Do you own a tablet, or an iPad, or smart phone or iPhone? Are you constantly stealing it back from your kids? Trust me you’re not the only one going through this. It’s been said that children immolate every move their parents make. They mimic everything we do from the way we brush our teeth to the way we talk to each other.

I have learned that the same goes for the electronics we use. They want to play with our tablets and iPads all the time because they see us using them, well all the time. The problem with that is, it can be very difficult to explain to a child that these electronics are not really toys, and can be very expensive and in most cases are not built for the torture that kids naturally wreak on things.  Not to mention there is plenty of things out there we don’t want our children innocent eyes exposed to.  I’m here to tell you that there is a light at the end of the tunnel, now as parents we have a tool to help protect our beloved electronics from the grimy oh my god what is that sticky stuff on my iPad.

Educational Toys For ChristmasLooking For Christmas Gift Ideas for Kids? Try The VTech Innotab3

My son Shawn love love loves my tablet. I don’t mind him playing with it sometimes, but he has gotten to where he has figured out how to navigate the tablet to areas and pages that even I have not figured out yet, and I seem to be spending more time trying to reverse some of the stuff he does, just so I can use the darn thing. He isn’t allowed to play with the tablet anymore, and is severely heartbroken by the loss. What he don’t know is that we got him and his younger sister the InnoTab3 for him as a Christmas gift this year.  Shawn, Vayda and Madisyn have already tried it and all immediately fell in love with it, and of course declared all-out war over who was going to hold it.  We had it a few days before I headed over to Amazon.com and ordered my son and daughter’s InnoTab 3 for Christmas.  Vayda already knows sharing her awesome new tablet it only temporary, I have to admit she’s been a trooper!

Many of you know he has Cebral Palsy, he loves techy gadgets and gizmos, and this is a great way to allow him learn and grow while he does something he loves.  Personally I cannot wait to see how much this helps our son.  He always seems to learn so much when there is a techy gadget involved.

So don’t tell our Madisyn, or Shawn they are both getting an InnoTab3 for Christmas.  Until then my husband and I will listen to the constant battles of who gets to play with the VTech InnoTab3, and giggle because we know the look on their face when they open their InnoTab3 on Christmas will be priceless.  The InnoTab 3 is perfect a perfect Christmas gift idea just about any kids.

It would be awesome to track her progression and to get her more engaged.
She is terribly shy and had a pretty bad experience in preschool so we had to take her out…

It would be nice to get her something to allow her to still grow in other ways in which she isn’t right now. I know its not a solution, though I do think it will help.

I have tried everything from computer websites, games, flashcards, to songs to try and teach my step-daughter her letters and colors and nothing seems to be working. Her mom went and bought her something similar to this and she has slowly began to learn but she spends more time with us than at her moms and her mom will not allow her to bring it to our house. I believe this would help a great amount if she was able to use this to learn her colors and letters.

We are very interested in this for our three year old daughter. She is a late talker and it has had us concerned for a long time. When we are at the store though this sparked her interest and it was exciting for us. Although with us both being unemployed I am not sure if we will be able to get it, but the reviews on it are amazing. I heard there are a lot of game/apps that can help with speech, and expression. Which is perfect because our daughter reacts a lot to coloring and drawing. She loves it.

Love the fact that you care for what your children see while on computer or tablet. Many people aren’t like that and It’s becoming the norm for people to let their kids see trashy things. im so glad to read your review on the Vtech Innotab If I win all be giving it to my 3year old nephew for Christmas. I appreciate the fact that you can track your children’s progress on the learning games. It’s amazing what kids can do with technology. At the same time it can be embarrassing because give them the time & they know all about navigating & exploring sometimes beyond what we have been able to do. That is another reason why I like the Vtech Innotab 3 Learning Tablet. The kids like it so much they forget about wanting to “borrow” our phones or tablets.

I have not heard a lot about this product. We have been wanting to get something for our son that he can play on and be safe. We have been looking at Kindle Fires for ourselves/him because you can’t put apps that his speech therapist uses, so maybe this would be a good thing to get as a “back up” when we can’t be with him on the Kindle (whenever we can get it) because kids do tend to find ways to get into trouble on things that we don’t even know how they did it lol
