Title: Lightning-fast Japanese for Kids and Families
Author: Carolyn Woods
It has been a pleasure to work with Carolyn Woods author of Lighting-fast Japanese for Kids and Families. Carolyn is a busy mom of 4 and is always on the lookout for better, cheaper and faster ways of doing things. Carolyn Woods is also the author of other awesome books such as, Make Money from Home with a Children’s Ebay Business, Lighting-Fast German and many other language learning books.
In the eBook, Carolyn Woods uses the same technique to teach you Japanese that is used to teach us or fluent language. The eBook is supposed to teach you Japanese by interacting and doing daily activities.
Shawn (my husband) has always told me the day I learn Japanese is the day he will take me to Japan which is fine with me. I will never travel outside of the country and expect then to cater to my language, I believe that if we make the choice to travel to another destination, we should learn enough of the foreign language to get us by. I recently was given the opportunity to review Lighting-fast Japanese for Kids and Families, so I jumped on it.
I received the eBook version of Lighting-fast Japanese and was very impressed with the layout of the eBook, it is easy to read and understand. My children and I have been using the book to begin our journey of learning Japanese, so my husband will take us toJapan(ha ha wouldn’t that be nice).
The eBook instructions that the reader continually integrate basic Japanese words and phrases into basic, everyday conversations with people. I agree using the technique, so my children and I have been following the instructions and beginning to add Japanese words and phrases into our daily conversations.
I liked that the eBook had instructions, I honestly do not think I would have known where to begin if it had not. Learning Japanese has been fun with the children, we look forward to the next day. However, I have to prepare the night before with my dear friend Google. I have to hear the word or phrase, before I am confident that I am pronouncing it currently. Since I am working with my children on this I want to be 100% confident in my ability to teach them, so I found myself reaching to Google, to find somewhere that would help me actually hear the phrase.
The one thing that was frustrating at times, was the need to hear the word before I was 100% confident that I was saying it currently. However, I did know going into this I would more than likely end up needing to hear the words first. It is my learning style, I need to see it, hear it, or put my hands on it to feel confident that I am doing it currently. My children seemed to pick up learning Japanese faster than myself, probably due to age. My 13 year old daughter was also able to sound the words out better than I could, she is more confident in what she is doing. I really feel like the technique that Carolyn Woods used worked amazing with my children, the soaked up the information and retained it.
In the end I would recommend Lightning-fast Japanese to anyone that wants to teach their children a new language. We all have learned a lot, we have not finished the whole book yet we are on our way. I enjoyed the layout of the book and format of the book, she did make learning Japanese fun and exciting for the children and myself. You can purchase her books on Amazon for $9.99 for Kindle Edition and $14.95 for a paperback copy.
