French Toast in a Mug with Powder Sugar Icing Recipe
| Meal type | Breakfast |
Ingredients
French Toast
- 2 medium slices of bread (your choice of white, wheat, etc is fine.)
- 1 large egg
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 2-3 drops vanilla (depending on your taste)
- 2-3 sprinkles cinnamon (depending on your taste buds more or less)
Powdered Sugar Icing
- 3 tablespoons milk or water (I prefer milk, but water will do the trick)
- 1/2 cup powder sugar
Directions
| French Toast | |
| Step 1 | |
| First you will need to cute your bread into cubes and spray the inside of the mug of your choice with your favorite cooking spray. | |
| Step 2 | |
| In a separate bowl or mug combine egg, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla and whisk together until it's mixed well. | |
| Step 3 | |
| Pour mixture into the mug with squared bread and squish your bread until soaked. Place in microwave for about 1 1/2 minutes or until egg is totally cooked. | |
| Powder Sugar Icing | |
| Step 4 | |
| In a small bowl or large mug mix powdered sugar and your milk or water. You're going to need the mixture to be runny, but not too runny. Once you have the desired consistency pour over your french toast while it's nice and hot. | |
Note
This is a great recipe for anyone with limited time, that loves French Toast, Powder Sugar Icing, wants less mess to clean up, or just wants to get a little creative and try something new.
Rememeber you can serve in the mug, or take it out, and place on a nice plate, drizzle some powder sugar icing on top, and play it off. Look like you worked, oh so hard on this lovely breakfast idea.
