Review: Children’s Mucinex Multi-Symptom Cold with the Smiley Blogger Circle #ChildrensMucinex
I was asked to review Children’s Mucinex several months ago, but have not written the review because my kids have been healthy. Until yesterday that is, when Vayda came home from school not feeling well. I mean really it was bound to happen. The day before yesterday it was in the 90’s, then yesterday BAM wake up and it’s 45 degrees outside. That’s some weather out to get some people sick if you ask me. Where I live it should be HOT already, NOT in the 40’s when we wake up.
To be honest until yesterday I had not used Children’s Mucinex. I’m pretty lucky to be honest, my kids to not get sick very often and when they do it’s nothing too terrible. I was actually really surprised that Vayda got sick, she never gets sick. I cannot remember the last time she was sick to be honest with you. Poor girl and she slowly got worse as the night went on coughing, stuffy nose, congestion, oh poor baby. I hate to see my kids sick.
I almost forgot that I had the Children’s Mucinex to be honest with you. I have been wanting to try it, a few of my mommy buds had told me it was good stuff. So I broke out the Children’s Mucinex Multi-Symptom Cold formula. Vayda is a trooper she took it without any problems. She did say anything about it tasting yucky, sometimes she will ask me if I’m trying to kill her when the medicine tastes bad, lol. She didn’t ask me if I was trying to kill her this time, so that’s a plus.
I think the results were good, I mean it did magically take away Vayda’s cold. She was however able to go to sleep without coughing her head off, and needing to get up over three minutes to tell me how bad she felt. I’m glad she has been able to rest, that’s one of the most important things when you’re sick is resting. She is home from school today resting. I know if I wouldn’t have given her anything she would be up complaining and coughing.
With that being said, I’m a believer that children’s Mucinex has helped Vayda feel better, get the rest that she needed, and made mom feel better that her baby isn’t up all night coughing up a lung. Would I use it again, I sure hope that I never have to use it again, but with four kids I know that’s not going to happen, so yes I would use it again. Let’s just hope that I don’t have to, there’s nothing I hate more than seeing my babies sick and knowing I cannot take it away right then and there.
Don’t forget that you can try to avoid getting sick by:
- Washing Hands
- Drinking lots of liquids
- Eating healthy foods
- Getting enough sleep
- Keep things out of your mouths, lol this is geared toward my toddler.
FYI: This medication is not intended for children under 4 years of age.
