    Going to Missouri every summer to visit my grand mother. We would meet all of our cousins there, my Uncle owned the land next door and he had an old home on there that looked haunted and we would all run to the haunted house and scare ourselves with stories. I miss it. It was the grandest time ever.

    A lot of memories are spent with my twin sister and causing trouble. But my favorite is waking each other up on Christmas morning, and tiptoeing to the tree to look at all the gifts. We would sit there until our parents woke up and then we would just tear into those gifts.

    One of my favorite memories is going to a tree farm to cut down our Christmas tree every year. We would take a wagon ride out to get the tree and they had a cabin/gift shop with hot chocolate and apple cider to warm up after.

    I remember riding on my bike and pretending we were playing drive thru with my friends. We would make McDonald’s sandwiches out of rocks and leaves and serve them to each other.

    I remember traveling a lot as a child. We used to have a large van with 2 captain’s chairs in back, along with a bench seat that folded down to a bed. Since you didn’t wear seat belts back then, my brother and I would climb all over the back of that van and make forts, etc.

    Its funny, but I lived on a small farm. One season we had two baby goats and one took to me. I already had my dog so it was me, my dog and my goat. As my goat grew she acted like a dog. I still remembered how she tried to bark. LOL!

    I have so many favorite memories of childhood, it’s so hard to pick one. I would have to say going to my grandmother’s house and spending part of the summer with her. I would help her around outside and she always insisted on paying me, even though I didn’t want it. So I would go across the street and treat us to ice cream cones. She has been gone for 28 years now, but whenever I get a lemon custard ice cream cone it brings back such great memories. :D

    One of my favorite childhood memories is being recognized for an art work picture I made in sixth grade. My teacher said he liked the way I drew the flowers as it was “unconventional” but really worked for the picture. It was displayed for a couple weeks in the display case at school :)

    One of my favorite childhood memories were when we used to spend the night at my grandparents on Christmas eve. The kids would all sleep together in the same room. and it was so hard to fall asleep since we talked about half of the night. We listened to the radio to hear where Santa was but still had a hard time going to sleep. The next morning when we awoke it was just magical. We never received a lot but we thought we were rich.

    I know it’s crazy now, but when I was a kid my Dad would sit me on his lap in the car and let me steer and I loved it! He would always say “Don’t tell your Mom I let you drive” lol
