Have you thought about using decals to decorate your home lately? For a few months now, I have been in the process of redecorating my home. With little help from my husband due to his health issues, it has taken quite a bit longer than I would have anticipated. With the kitchen, laundry room, and both bathrooms completely finished, I now turn my attention to the bedrooms. In addition to the new carpet that was installed recently, I will, of course, paint since my husband and I cannot agree on any one wallpaper pattern. I know I should have painted prior to having the carpeting installed, but my timing was off.
My line of thinking is more focused upon the accents and accessories for the bedrooms, so I thought that a decal was a way to go to add that special touch to the master bedroom. I turned to Dali Decals, who was able to assist me in this regard.
Years ago, I had another brand of decals in my kitchen, but when it came time to take them down, it was another story. What a mess. While I followed the instructions to the letter, I had a terrible time removing the decals. That’s why I am so happy that when the time comes to remove the Dali Decal, it will simply peel off. Unfortunately, though, the decal is not reusable.
Decorate with Dali Decals
In the process of redecorating our home, cost is a factor to consider. Of course, I want the best at the very lowest possible price. This is why I selected the above Dali Wall Decal as it is a great and inexpensive way to decorate. From literally hundreds of wall decals to choose, in 80 different colors, the decision was not made overnight. I have tan carpet and drapes, but my bedspread is predominately rose, or mauve and green with just a hint of brown and tan. Consequently, I thought that the brown matte decal would bring out the brown in the bedspread to please my husband’s love of the earth tones. Of course, I could have created a wall decal of my own as Dali Decal takes custom made orders, but I’m not really that creative when it comes to things of this sort, so I selected one of the stock printed decals. Check these out.
I am quite anxious to apply the decal to the master bedroom wall; however, I need to paint first. Then I need to wait approximately 2 weeks for the paint to cure before applying the decal. I’m sure glad that if I needed to, I could wait up to 90 days before applying the decal. However, since I already have the paint on hand, I won’t need to wait that long before I can accomplish this task. But, if the wall didn’t need painting, all I would need to apply the decal would be to make sure that the wall is free and clear of any dust or dirt in order that the decal adheres properly. Well, there are a couple other items that you might need: some painters tape, scissors and level. I already have these items on hand, so when the time comes I can apply the decal with the help of the instruction sheet, as well as the squeegee that came with the decal. In approximately 10-15 minutes, I will be done. Quick and easy – that’s my style, and I will have a beautiful decal to view many times daily.
Oh, did I tell you that these decals can be used indoors or outdoors? The matte colors are rated for up to 3 years for outdoor use and the gloss colors are rated for up to 6 years. You can even apply these decals to glass, but if you apply it to a glass object, make sure that the glass is clean and dry; otherwise the decal will not hold. Hmmmmm, how about putting one on my car? Now, that is a thought.
Ordering is simple and easy on their web page and the company offers free shipping on orders of $50 or more.
