i got married on june 16, 2007 (also my brother’s bday) and father’s day was the next day
My sister and I were teenagers and we wanted to bouy him a hat, He wore hats a lot. Being a small town, we took a bus to a neighboring town and on Main Street,, we found the perfect hat. It was a white straw hat with the perfect v in the hear part, and a black band . We were so excited on Father =s Day to give hin the hat. He looked at it, put in on and wore it all the time, That hat hangs on my hat/coat rack and everytime I go outisde to work in the yard and the garden, I wear it and it still smells like him althought he passed away 7 years ago.

I have kept it close for almost 10 years now, everyone tells me that I am crazy for saying it still smells like her, but it does and I keep it hanging next to my bed:) Thank you again for sharing!
My fondest fathers day memory is the one my husband is making right now. He is and has been out in the backyard trucking in dirt (24 cubic yards to be exact) and working hard to level the backyard so he and the boys can play soccer back there by fathers day.
I remember as a child making breakfast for my dad so he could eat it in bed,, Wish he were still here so I could wish him Happy Fathers day again….
