MovieNite Plus & Cloud Camera 100 #Review Mommy/Wife/Blogger Approved

I have a pretty awesome product to share with you. Honestly one of the coolest products I have reviewed. I was provided the opportunity to review the D-Link MovieNite Plus (DSM 312) it’s a Streaming Media Player and the Cloud Camera 100 (DCS-932L).

D-Link Movie Nite Plus (DSM 312) is an awesome way to stream the latest movies and TV shows from AUDU and Netflix. That’s not it you can listen to music on Pandora, view your pictures, check out Facebook, and more. This is all done on your TV screen. Pretty awesome, right! Just wait it gets better, can you tell I’m a total geek for this stuff. I just love ti! You heard me right you can get Facebook, Twitter and more streaming on your TV!

What do I think about that? Well, I’m a blogger I LOVE IT! That’s honestly the very first thing I did, was visit my pictures, Facebook, and Netflix. My husband listened to some tunes, and my daughter watched Barney on YouTube. I know, I cannot get that darn purple dinosaur song out of my head. She loves it though, so we watch it.

So how does it work? Set up is simple, if you can handle three steps your in good shape. Then you’re ready to enjoy streaming the internet from your TV. No more having to head out and rent movies, head over to Netflix, DUDU, YouTube, or any of the other apps available.

VUDU has awesome new releases, THE SAME DAY THEY COME OUT ON DVD! They sure do!
Netflix has tons of movies and TV shows to choose from. YouTube has movies, trailers, videos, and more.
Pandora allows you to connect with your favorite artists.
mydlink allows you to view your cameras via the my dlink app and watch videos on your TV. We’ll talk more about this in a moment. It’s sweet!
More apps available, channels to watch, plenty of entertainment choices available. There is seriously something for everyone.

Now, let’s talk about the Cloud Camera 100 (DCS-932L), and how awesome it is.

The streaming media player, MovieNite Plus, offer the mydlink app. The mydlink app ties into the mydlink-enabled network camera. Which is awesome, now when my daughter takes naps I can access my camera via the mydlink app, which I can watch live camera or video on my TV.

IP Camera Which brings me to a little story as to why this makes me so happy. Okay, so like many of you I lay my daughter down, and take advantage of the mommy time. I often come into my bedroom, which is on the other side of the house, or clean, laundry. something. My daughter is almost three, I haven’t had a baby monitor in there for a while. Crazy mom didn’t think she needed one. I don’t know that I needed a monitor, but a camera would have been awesome. Let me tell you why.

I lay Mattie down for a nap, she falls right to sleep. Or did she, mom things she did anyway. So about 1 1/2 hours pass by, and I hear the door make a small squeak. HUMMM, what in the world is she up to, and why is a three-year old waking up and closing the door. The investigator mom that i am, rushes in to see what in the world is going on. OMG, you’re never going to guess what I found!

My daughter, make up, the dog, kitty cat, stuffed animals, blankets, pillows, and Barbie. I know you’re thinking darn Barbie, what a bad influence. However, Barbie cannot be to blame this time. It was the dog, nope. Kitty, nope, Well unless my house is like Toy Story and the stuffed animals play and make messes when nobody is looking, it has to be my sweet little Mattie. YES, it was that little innocent face. What did she do? What didn’t she do?

Okay so this took some serious work. She took her stuffed animals from her crib to Catie’s (her big sister) bed, got some blankets and stacked them up just right in the corner so she could reach a shelf. Oh this shelf you will find all Catie’s makeup, body spray, GLITTER, and oh did I mention black eyeliner. Yes, this munchkin pulled some ninja moves, and got it all down. She then, put her makeup on, along with the cats makeup, and you should have seen my pit-bull Skittles. She had a black circle around his eye, and his entire body was brown and black from the base and eyeliner. Mattie was covered in eyeliner, base, eye shadow, and GLITTER WAS ALL OVER THE BED!

WOW, and she was so quite doing all this I even checked on her. I didn’t open the door all the way, I didn’t want to wake her. Little did I know, she was up and having a party. Now, had I had this camera then, I WOULD HAVE BUSTED HER! I can also manage up to 32 cameras on a single screen easily and hassle free. Plus, with D-ViewCam, you can automatically record and playback detailed video at your own convenience.

Needless to say, I love my streaming media player, MovieNite Plus, the camera (which we use as a baby monitor), and being able to see everything live on your TV, Laptop, Desktop, iPad, iPod, Phone, Kindle, just about anything. All why my daughter is napping, or mom things she is napping lol.

I also use it in the kitchen… yes, I know sounds nuts. I have four children that eat everything and one of which is sneaky, to the point it’s not healthy for her to eat that much. We have to do something, and if it’s let her know we’re watching her that we will do. I really didn’t think it would work, but to my surprise she asks for everything now.

The camera is small enough to place just about anywhere I need to, and the picture is great. I have tried it on my phone, laptop, and TV the picture is clean on all of them. There’s not much delay at all. I was extremely surprised about that. It works well, is easy to use, easy to hook up, and I JUST LOVE IT!

I Love having the camera in the house, it makes me feel safer. I have four children and mom cannot always be everywhere, but the camera definitely can help me have eyes where I need them even if I’m not there.

Now, I cannot tell you how much I wish I could give this Three THUMBS UP! However, I cannot. WHY? I only have two thumbs silly. D-Link and their fabulous products are Mommy Approved (and then some), and get TWO THUMBS UP. I not only have tons of awesome entertainment available, but I feel safer knowing I can spy on my children, lol. I know it sounds horrible, but really it’s important to keep an eye on our children. What if while my daughter was practicing her ninja moves, she drank something she shouldn’t have. I might not have knows until it was too late. I feel so much safer knowing I can keep an eye on her when she is supposed to be napping. She’s two-year old, busy, in to everything, I have to keep an eye on her and protect her it’s my job as a mom. Now I can do it better, thanks to D-Link.

To top it all off, everything is affordable. Less expensive than the video baby monitors, FOR EVERYTHING. You don’t get YouTube with a video baby monitor… Really, it’s such an awesome deal, and you can take the camera with you outside if you connect to your phone or tablet. It’s a win-win situation.
