One of the best things my grandmother made when I was growing up was her fabulous Butter Cake with Butter Icing. I was super excited when my mother decided to share all my grandmothers old recipes with me. I mean it only took her 20 years to break down and share them with me. So since she shared with me, I’m going to share them with you. I sure do miss my Granny’s cooking. No matter how hard my mom or I tries, nobody makes it better than Granny.
Adding butter icing to your cake works best if the cake is still warm, and you pock holes in the cake. It allows the icing to sneak into the cake through the holes, making it more yummy.
