We love and fully support the Boys and Girls Club (BGCA). My kids have been going to the Boys and Girls Club since Catie was 8 years old. Here she is 13 years old, still a member, and visits almost daily along with her younger sister Vayda. My kids have grown up visiting our local Boys and Girls Club, loved the staff, meet other kids, and experienced good wholesome fun.
Leaving my kids home unsupervised has never been an option. Sure I might leave my oldest home for a little bit, but I’m not comfortable with them walking home after school to an empty house. My kids are too young and the Boys and Girls Club has helped my kids have a positive place to spend their after school hours.
Before I was fortunate enough to become a stay-at-home-mom Catie and Vayda would walk from school to our local Boys and Girls Club. Which was a huge stress reliever for my husband and I, not to mention the kids would rather head to the BGCA. We were already paying too much for Mattie to attend daycare full-time. I have always recommend the Boys and Girls Club to parents, it’s a great place for them to learn, grow, get help with homework, play games, and be part of something. Which is why I’m super excited to announce that I have been Boys & Girls Club (BGCA) Back-to-School Ambassador.
Boys and Girls Club and Back-To-School
Yes, I said it Back-To-School! Can you believe summer is coming to an end, and it’s time for parents to start preparing for the grand old back-to-school shopping event? I have mixed feelings about my kids going back-to-school. Sure part of me wants them to be in school learning, spending time with their friends, giving mom time to get things done, but a larger part of me what’s them home. I love spending time with my kids, and when it’s time to start back-to-school shopping I know another year as passed, and my kids are getting older. BLAH!
One thing I can honestly say about Back-To-School is that I love the shopping! Yes, there I said it! I love to take my kids Back-To-School Shopping! I’ll admit, most of our back-to-school shopping is done online, but not all of it. There’s several things I wouldn’t chance buying online. When I take my kids back-to-school shopping I take them one at a time, we head out-of-town, and spend the day together. It’s OUR day, we shop, laugh, eat, and this mom enjoys the one-on-one time with her kids.
How You Can Help The Boys and Girls Club
Do you shop at JCPenney? I know we sure do, online and offline. It’s a great place for back-to-school shopping, not to mention right now when you shop at JCPenney you can help support the Boys and Girls Club of America.
The Boys and Girls Club of America and JCPenney have partnered for the ‘JCPenney Cares Round-Up Campaign.’ During the month of July round-up your purchase t the nearest whole dollar while shopping at JCPenney, and you will be making a difference by supporting afterschool and all other awesome programs at the Boys and Girls Clubs across the country. How amazing is that.
When you round your JCPenney purchase up to the nearest whole dollar you will be doing more than making a donation. You’ll be making a positive difference in many kids’ lives. I have seen the wonderful, positive difference the Boys and Girls Club has made in my children. It also gives them a safe place to have fun.
The Boys and Girls Club provides an affordable program that offers life-enhancing experiences for our children. You can trust there is emphasis on academic success, building good character, and living a healthy lifestyle. The Boys and Girls Club of America helps to guide kids to a brighter future. Support the Boys and Girls Club, and the kids who attend, it’s easy, and a few cents can go a long way. For more information about the ‘JCPenney Cares Round-Up‘ Campaign Click Here.
